So, it’s Pancake day!! A very special day that always goes down on my calendar as one of my favourite days of the year…or not! Pancake day is actually a day where me and my husband SUDDENLY realise (usually from another friend’s post) that it is indeed Shrove Tuesday…and we have nothing in the cupboard closely resembling pancake ingredients. Cue mad dash to any close shop that has eggs, milk, butter (we forgot the butter this time!). And then we make pancakes.
But this year it has come to my attention that making pancakes and enjoying them together is a very anti-social activity. Firstly, someone has to stand and make them. And you don’t make one, you make five or ten (small pan, people). Then, because we’re not sophisticated enough to remember to put the oven on, or heat up the plate warmer, you have to eat them while they’re actually hot. So, what normally happens is one person cooks, one person eats. Then we swap, the other person cooks while the other person eats. Usually on the kitchen side amongst the few ingredients we could find. Then you get to that awful moment when you just can’t stand to look at another pancake again!!! Please, no more!!! So, anyway. I love pancakes, and I know there’s a reason why we have a Shrove Tuesday, but lets be honest. I am not going to fast for the next 40 days.
Anyway!! The reason for this post wasn’t to carry on about that. The reason was to let you know a bit more about Origin. I know lots of you are still waiting for Elemental: Circle of Fire. But Origin is important, and I know it will help you when CoF comes out. You see, Circle of Fire starts at an odd place. Not what you were thinking i.e. Rose running back down the tunnel to heal Aiden etc. It starts in a hospital, with Rose having a funny moment (not funny ha-ha). I also realised when writing CoF that I have so many characters that each need a small voice to show you who they are and why they’re important. So Origin is a series of events that leads up to the end cliffhanger of Elemental: The First told from other characters POV’s. You remember all the cloaked dudes in the Prologue? Well, they were important. As are Aiden’s group of guys that he hangs around with. In fact all the characters have their own place in the story. And Origin will link up nicely with Circle of Fire so you’ll all be up to speed with what’s going on when Rose wakes up in the hospital at the beginning of Circle of Fire. (*gasps, deep breath*).
Now that we’ve got that cleared up (!) I’m excitedly ecstatic to tell you that The Battle for Arcanon Major (The Lost Dacomé Files #1) is now available for Amazon.com and .co.uk. Click on this Buy Online link and it’ll take you straight there!
So, to end this rambling post I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who sent me emails and messages when The Battle was released. I loved writing the book so it overwhelms me to know you enjoyed it to.
That’s it. As they say in this neck of the woods, Ciao for now!
PS. I’m adding this a full 40 minutes after the post has gone live but I thought I would add it because I know some of you will ask. You’re going to ask if Aiden’s POV will feature in Origin. And my answer is…yes. Just so you know!
