If you could travel in a Time Machine would you go back to the past or into the future?

I’d love to travel, say, 500 years into the future. Just to see if the science fiction writers were correct. Imagine Minority Report versus Fifth Element or even Firefly.

If you could invite any 5 people to dinner who would you choose?

Marilyn Monroe – great eye candy for the guys and she was always good with party’s
Princess Diana – a wonderful person
Angelina Jolie – humanitarian extraordinaire
Ernest Hemingway – because he’d be a great story teller over dinner
My Grandmother – Mabel Atkinson who passed away when I was 14. I never really got to know her but she’s was a model and chief buyer for Selfridge’s in London in the days of the TV series Mr Selfridge.

One food you would never eat?

Fois Gras – a delicacy that’s made in such an inhumane way.

Any other books in the works? Goals for future projects?

As the moment I’m writing Elemental: The Circle of Fire which is Book 2 of my Primord Series. It is really long overdue but I’m determined to get it in the bag soon. After I’ll be finishing Pyrhon’s Sphere, #2 in The Lost Dacomé Files. I have a New Adult project outside of sci-fi that I want to have a go at.

What’s one piece of advice you would give aspiring authors?

Take your time. Don’t rush any process because it’ll be worth it in the end.

If you could be one of the Greek Gods, which would it be and why?

I would have to say Artemis. Goddess of the hunt, animals and protector of young women. Halíka Dacomé is slightly based on her. Artemis was an archer and loved the outdoors. A bit like me!

If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?

It would have to be a toss between Venice, Italy and Key West, Florida. Maybe six months at each!

When you were little, what did you want to be when you “grew up”?

A librarian on the QE2 (a cruise liner now decommissioned). Just imagine all the reading you could get done.

If a movie was made about your life, who would you want to play the lead role and why?

Natalie Portman. I think we have the same temperament and look very vaguely alike!

How did you know you should become an author?

You know when you finish a book or a series and it doesn’t end how you wanted it to. Either the story runs off on a tangent, not in the direction you expected. That is when I knew I wanted to be an author. And I write what I would want to read. So two birds, one stone

What movie and/or book are you looking forward to this year?

I can’t wait to watch Thor 2. I loved the first film. I’m actually a Marvel Films addict, I love them! But Thor was amazing, I love Norse mythology.

How do you react to a bad review?

I’m not opposed to bad reviews as long as they’re constructive. If someone doesn’t like what I’ve written then that’s fine. There are big name books out there that I didn’t like but others love.
All books have good and bad reviews. It only means I didn’t get that reader and the reader didn’t get me.

Any as long as I’m not in a cage!
